  I'd recommend going here rather than Aitken's up the road. Mason's has a better selection and vibe.

  My family owns a cabin on Shawnigan Lake, so Mason's is where we go to get ice cream, milk if we run out, chips for lunches, and candy when I was younger. Mason's has baked goods, a large and diverse selection of candy, and many flavors of good quality ice cream. Yes, even Nanaimo Bar ice cream. I grew up asking my whole family if I could have some money to go to Mason's and buy candy, and I would run a mile or two over to Mason's to get candy and the employees were friendly and helpful.
